Precision Gearbox Standards. Fly Fishing Passion.

Rivfly was born from a simple question: Why can't fishing gear be as precise as industrial machinery?

From Industrial Microns to River Currents

My day job is solving problems for high-precision gearboxes used in industrial automation. In that world, a discrepancy of 0.01mm is a failure.

When I started fly tying, I felt a disconnect. The tools lacked the rigid stability I was used to in engineering. I realized that by applying industrial-grade tolerances to fly fishing gear, we could create something that doesn’t just hold a hook—it honors the craft.

Designed by Logic. Verified by Touch.

We trust data, but we believe hands tell the truth. While our specifications are born from CAD drawings and material science, every prototype is tested on the bench.

As a Sales Engineer, my role isn’t just to build, but to define the solution. We orchestrate a global supply chain, ensuring that every component—from the 40CrMo steel jaws to the anodized aluminum body—meets Rivfly’s rigorous standards.

The Science Beneath the Surface

Material Innovation:

Collaboration with Material Science Ph.Ds (Ceramics & Titanium research).

Industrial Strength:

Using 40CrMo Steel (not just standard iron) for jaw durability.

Process Control:

Precision CNC machining with strict QA protocols.

The Engineering Edge

Respect The Waters

We engineer metal so you can connect with nature. Rivfly is a proud supporter of conservation efforts. We believe that the best gear should last a lifetime—reducing waste and keeping our focus on what matters: the river, the fish, and the release.
