Returns & Warranty

What is the "Lawn-Cast" Return Rule?

We get it—you need to feel the rod action. You are welcome to assemble and “lawn-cast” our rods or test our reels on dry land. If it doesn’t feel right, you can return it within 45 days.
Important: Once the gear hits the water or shows signs of outdoor wear (dirt, cork handle stains), it is considered used and cannot be returned.

Our precision tools (like the Orbit Vise) come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects. If it fails due to our engineering, we fix it. Consumables (Flies, Tippets) have a 30-day quality guarantee.
Simply email in**@****ly.com with your order number and photos of the issue.

Product Engineering

Are your flies really hand-tied?

Absolutely. Every single fly sold at Rivfly is 100% hand-tied by veteran specialists, not machines. We use chemically sharpened high-carbon hooks and premium materials to ensure they don’t just look good in the box—they hold up after multiple strikes on the water.

Our gear is built for the elements, but a little care goes a long way. Rinse your tools with fresh water after saltwater use and dry them thoroughly. For moving parts (like on the Vise or Bobbin), a tiny drop of reel oil once a season will keep the action buttery smooth.

Because plastic doesn’t last. Coming from a background in high-precision gearboxes, we select materials that balance weight and durability. 6061 Aluminum offers excellent corrosion resistance for saltwater environments, while 40CrMo Steel provides the high-tensile strength needed for jaw-gripping power.
