The orange color is functional as well as visual: it lets you confirm the gasket is seated correctly before closing, and it stays visible if the gasket ever needs inspection or replacement.

The body is impact-resistant ABS plastic. The lid is clear AS — a material with better impact resistance and clarity retention than standard polycarbonate at this price point. It won’t cloud after repeated drops or exposure to UV.
