Fly Fishing World

From a Reel of Film to a Real-World Passion
I'm Kevin. An engineer by trade, a fly fisherman by heart. Rivfly was born from a simple idea: What if we applied the rigor of precision engineering to the art of fly fishing? We started in a small workshop, driven by that question. Today, that same drive is in every single product we make.
Frequently asked questions
What makes the RIVFLY Tying Vise different from others? Is it suitable for beginners?
Great question! Our RIVFLY Vise was designed by tiers, for tiers. The key difference is its combination of premium features—like a full 360° rotary function and hardened steel jaws—at a price that's accessible to everyone. It's incredibly stable and provides a rock-solid grip on hooks from tiny size 22 midges up to large 2/0 streamers. This makes it a fantastic investment for both beginners who want a vise they'll never outgrow, and for experienced tiers looking for a reliable, high-performance tool.
Who ties your flies, and what kind of materials do you use?
We take immense pride in our flies! Every fly we sell is passionately tied by experienced guys who know what works on the water. We insist on using premium materials, including top-quality hooks from trusted brands, to ensure our flies are not only beautiful but also durable and effective. We believe a well-tied fly is the crucial connection between you and the fish, and we don't compromise on quality.
I'm not sure which flies to choose. Can you help?
Absolutely! The best fly depends on where you're fishing, what you're targeting (like trout or bass), and the time of year. A great place to start is with our curated assortments, which contain proven "must-have" patterns. If you need more specific advice, please send us a message through our "Contact Us" page. Tell us a bit about your local water, and we'd be happy to give you some personalized recommendations to help you succeed.
What is your policy if I'm not satisfied with my vise or the flies I receive?
Your satisfaction is our guarantee. For our RIVFLY Vise, we offer a lifetime warranty against any manufacturing defects. We built it to be a workhorse, and we stand by it. For our flies and other gear, we have a 30-day return policy. If you're not completely happy with the quality of your purchase, simply contact us, and we'll make it right, whether that's a return or an exchange.
I'm excited to get my order! How long does shipping usually take?
We know you're eager to get tying or fishing! We process and ship all orders within 1-2 business days. As soon as your order is on its way, we'll send you an email with a tracking number so you can watch its progress. Shipping times can vary based on your location, but we always strive to get your gear into your hands as quickly as possible.

Great All-Around Fly Set!
By: Alex R.
As someone getting more serious about fly fishing, this fly selection is exactly what I needed. The variety is amazing, with a good mix of nymphs, dry flies, and even a few streamers. The quality is top-notch; they are all neatly tied and have proven to be very durable after catching several fish. Caught a beautiful rainbow trout on the Pheasant Tail nymph last weekend. Great value!

Floats High and Fools Picky Trout
By: Mike P.
I'm very particular about my dry flies, and these are excellent. I ordered the Parachute Adams and they float perfectly right out of the box. The hackle is high quality and they are well-proportioned, which helps get a natural drift. They fooled several picky trout on my local spring creek. You can tell these dry flies are tied with care. Will be buying more for sure.

These Nymphs Get Down and Catch Fish!
By: Tom S.
Really impressed with the quality of these nymphs. The bead-head Prince Nymphs are my new go-to. They have a great profile in the water and get down into the strike zone quickly. Most importantly, they catch fish! They've also held up well after being bounced off rocks all day. These are quality bead-head nymphs that I'll be stocking my fly box with.
