Master the depths with the ultimate Micro Perdigon Fly.

When the water is cold and the trout are pressured, standard flies just don't work. You need a Perdigon fly that gets down fast and looks like a snack. Our #20 Micro Perdigon is designed to solve the toughest fishing puzzles.

What it imitates

While a classic Perdigon fly mimics a mayfly, this micro version is designed to imitate Midge Pupae and Blue Winged Olive (BWO) nymphs. The segmentation and wire ribbing provide a realistic trigger under the water.

Why it works this season

In winter and late fall, 90% of a trout's diet consists of tiny midges. Because this fly has no tail (reducing drag) and a heavy tungsten bead, it pierces the surface tension and drops like a stone to where the fish are holding.

When to use it

  • Olive: Use on sunny days, in clear tailwaters, or when you see small insects hatching.
  • Orange: Use as an attractor pattern in deep pools, on cloudy days, or when the water is slightly stained.

How to rig it

This is an essential pattern for Euro Nymphing. Rig the Orange Perdigon as your point fly (bottom) to anchor the leader, and tie the Olive version on a dropper tag 18 inches above it.
